The Weekend

Friday night Brita, Matt, Audrey and George rolled into town late. They hit 40 miles of one-way traffic on the interstate...not nice.

Saturday we laid low. Grandma and Grandpa Anderson came up in the afternoon. We really had to twist their arms to watch the kids so we could go out and see a movie. We saw Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. I was hoping for more suspense, but maybe that's impossible when I've read all the books and ultimately know what happens anyway. With that said, I am still looking forward to the last two movies.

Sunday we went to Tracy and Andy's little guy's baptism (Michael). The service was really nice. There were about half the babies baptized compared to the day Owen and Danica were baptized.

Owen did not take a nap all day yesterday. We had a few short melt-downs, but nothing like I expected. AND he went to bed really easy. I thought he'd fight it for sure. I probably could have taken him upstairs sooner than I did. He was sleeping by 8:30 and woke up about 6:00 this morning. That was very nice! Usually I'm bugging the poor kid for about 20 minutes to get up. I'll be interested in how long his nap at daycare is this afternoon. I hope it wasn't too long! We might just need to shorten up the naps.

Why is it that weekends with family go by so quickly?
