Happy belated 89th Birthday to my Grandpa Anderson. His birthday was yesterday. I still think it is so cool that he turned 88 last year on 8/8/08!
Yesterday after supper we took Owen to the sprinkler park in Apple Valley (which is just north of Brita's old apartment building). He and daddy ran through the sprinklers...OK, it was more like Daddy running thru the sprinklers trying to get Owen to follow. He got more daring the longer we stayed, but he was still hesitant. Scott and I were actually glad to see a little of that fear there. I would hate to have a fearless boy.
A side note: When we put his swimming trunks on, he thought we were going to see Uncle Roo Roo and go to the pool again. It was pretty cute!
We set up his pool so when he gets up from his nap, he can go swimming. He was very reluctant to lay down, so we opted for a quick ride in the Path. That did the trick. We figured it would be a good week to have it set up with the temps forecasted to be in the upper 80's all week.
