1st Dr. Appt.

This morning we took Will to his first doctor appointment. He weighs 8 lb. 14 oz. The same as he did when they weighed him at the hospital. Not bad since he started out at 9.2! Everything else looked good and we don't have to go back until his 2 week appointment. Owen got his H1N1 mist this morning too. We moved "up" on this list since we have a child under 6 months in the house. Scott and I will have to check into getting ours too.

The dr. asked Owen if he liked his little brother and Owen's response was , "Yep." It was sweet. He's really adjusted well to having him around. I think he'd like me to pick him up be he remembers that I have an "owie" so he asked to see it. He's very sympathetic about it.

Today is the first day it's been just the 4 of us. After the dr. we drove over to Target to pick up a few things. We had two carts! At least that won't be the case for too long.

Will has his nights and days mixed up. Does anyone have any advise? He'd much rather sleep all day and eat all night. Last night I did manage to get about 2 - 2 hour blocks of sleep at a time. That was nice. I don't know if I'll be as lucky tonight since Will has been sleeping most of the day. It's hard to keep him up!

I'm sure you have heard this, but make sure that when he is awake in the day to have the light shine through the windows in his room, open the shades... And at night, try to not turn on the light at all, but have a small nightlight so you can see where you are going! You have to try to kick-start his natural melatonin. Hang in there!
