Why does it have to snow so early?? Saturday morning we woke up to snow, now today we have more. And it's still snowing. I heard it's supposed to get warmer next week (Indian Summer?), so that will be good, but it'll make for a really long winter if things keep up like this! We totally skipped over the Fall.
Papa and Grandma Anderson came up over the weekend. They came up Saturday morning so Papa could get some field work done Friday night. As soon as they walked thru the door, Owen was on hyper-drive. He didn't stop...not even to eat lunch with us. He said he was tired, so Scott was going to take him upstairs for his afternoon nap. He put his blankies on the floor (by the kitchen table) and said he was going to lay there. Scott asked him if he wanted a pillow...Yep! He did actually fall asleep on the floor! I have a few pictures, I'll have to add to this later. Scott eventually brought him upstairs to sleep in his bed.
That night, Papa and Grandma watched Owen so Scott and I went out for a few hours. We ate at Granite City in Eagan. That was good. We hadn't been there in a long time. Then we headed to Toys R Us. They were having a pampers diaper promotion, so we picked up some for Owen and the little brother for when he gets here. We also picked up a gift for Owen when is brother arrives (a Buzz Lightyear). He loves Buzz. We hope he likes it! Then we were going to hit the Twins Pro Shop, but they were closed before we got there, bummer. Off to Culvers to pick up dessert....concretes - YUM! We picked up one for Papa too (butterfinger, of course). Owen had to 'share' with Papa. He was all about getting a reaction out of Papa being silly eating the custard. We were all laughing pretty hard (not helping the situation at all).
Sunday we all went to eat at Noodles...to which Scott and I have decided is Owen's "McDonald's" to most kids. He loves that place. We have to get him the Pesto noodles. He can eat a small bowl himself! When we pull up in the parking lot, Owen yells, "Noodles!"
After lunch we headed over to Barnes & Noble. Little did we know there is a Thomas the Train set in the kids book section. Well it was very hard to get Owen to leave! But I'm thinking one day on maternity leave that I'll take the kids there so Owen can play with a new Thomas set while I read a magazine and sip on a cappuccino. We'll see if that happens! Sounds like an excellent plan to me.
On Wednesday I'll be 36 weeks. Scott says I'm having the little guy when I'm 37 weeks. Anyone else want to guess?
