A Busy Day Planned

If the weather cooperates, we'll be headed downtown for the Parade this morning. There are clouds moving in, but they are saying rain for the afternoon. Let's hope they get this one right. Then tonight we'll be watching the fireworks. We've been telling Owen this week that we'll get to see them soon. This morning he came up to me and Scott and said, "I want firework boomies." I don't know if he just listens that well or what! We told him that we'd see some tonight. I hope it doesn't rain. I think we'll all be disappointed otherwise.

Our landscaping is about 90% done. Looks like they have a few finishing touches (like mulch and a few more plants) to do. We took some before pics so as soon as it's done we'll put them up. We have so many plants now, we thought we were driving into the wrong driveway! At least it looks much more complete and will add a lot of color throughout the summer.

Owen looks like he's going to be a member of the Blue Man Group. He just had two M&M's (blue, of course) and he is turning blue. Guess I better quit and make some breakfast!

Belly Dancing

I think I can give belly-dancing a whole new meaning. This little guy is dancing like crazy in my belly this afternoon. This morning he was too, but not like he is now. I can't help but laugh at him. Maybe he is trying to work on his dance moves to keep up with his big brother!

Ahh...vacation

Why does vacation have to go by so fast? I can't believe it's already Thursday. I am wishing it was Tuesday just to make the time slow down. Though I have to say I'm really excited about getting to see all the Anderson clan this weekend. That can't get here fast enough. It's been two years since we've seen a lot of them (I guess Brita's baby shower was in there, but not everyone could make it). We were just a few weeks along with Owen at that time and now I'm 23 weeks along with boy #2. This will not become a 2 year trend!

Owen is taking a nap as I am writing. I wasn't sure how I was going to get him down today. Danica came over to play with Owen for a few hours while Tracy and baby Mike ran an errand. Those two play together really well. He was excited when I told him she was coming over to play. I knew he was tired, but sometimes that just makes things worse with him. But he was sleeping in about 15 minutes after I brought him up to read a few books. Whew!

Our landscaping was scheduled to be done this week, but we're being pushed back a few days. So Tuesday is now the plan. I guess the guy they are working with now has decided to make a bunch of changes so it's slowing them down. I can't wait to see our finished project. Sounds like the job should take about two days. Not bad! We'll have to post before and after pics.

"I Like Boom Booms."

Is a direct quote from Owen as we watch fireworks from our home last night. We would go outside and then go back inside to watch the Boston fireworks on TV. We eventually ended up in our bedroom watching out the windows because we have neighbors shooting them off all around us. Owen kept saying he liked the boom booms.

Owen slept in until about 9 this morning! We moved his big boy bed into his room with the choo-choo in it. Now we have to come up with new ideas for the baby's room. Any ideas? Name ideas? We're open for suggestions!

We're catching the men's final game at Wimbeldon. Andy Roddick is playing Roger Federer. Roddick is looking better than I've seen him in a long time. I hope he can pull off the win, but when the pressure is on, Roger seems to turn up the heat. Guess we'll know soon enough who wins.

We hope everyone had a safe and fun 4th!
